LUKE GEORGE is looking to the future having finally shaken off his injury concerns.

Bradford Bulls winger George, who showed an impressive turn of pace to score during yesterday's Tetley's Challenge Cup defeat at the hands of Warrington Wolves, has been plagued by setbacks in 2014.

The 26-year-old has made just six First:Utility Super League appearances, in addition to yesterday's outing, but is now determined to kick on in the red, amber and black of Bradford.

“I am relishing the opportunity I have here with the Bulls,” said George, who is being proudly sponsored by Hollinbay.

“It has been a difficult season so far for me. It has been very stop start, with the injuries, but I am looking forward to the future. I want to make a mark here.

“Sunday provided my second appearance since returning from injury and I feel very good at the minute.

“Hopefully, I can now start to improve fitness-wise and put in good performances, consistently, to help the team towards ensuring Super League survival.

“We beat ourselves over the weekend, we turned over possession far too cheaply and it cost us in the end.

“We just have to believe in what we are doing and our confidence levels will begin to rise.”

George, who arrived at the Provident Stadium late last year following stints with Huddersfield, Wakefield and Hull KR, is fully aware of what is at stake this weekend.

Francis Cummins' side will do battle with Salford Red Devils on Sunday, from 3.00pm, with a vital pair of points up for grabs.

“Sunday is going to be massive for us,” added three-quarter George, who agreed a two-year deal with the Bulls last summer.

“We have to stay focused because we are more than capable of picking up the win.

“As a team, we are making strides. We realise how big a win at Salford could be for us and that is exactly what we are going to be working towards in training this week.”

Tickets for Sunday's round-sixteen clash are priced at £18 (adults), £13 (concessions) and £8 (juniors) and can be purchased by calling 08448 711 490.
