STEVE FERRES has paid tribute to the Bradford Bulls faithful following yesterday's Tetley's Challenge Cup triumph over Catalan Dragons.

Managing director Ferres looked on as the Bulls performed a stunning fightback to run out convincing 33-20 winners, booking their place in the quarter-finals.

And, following his rallying call last week, Ferres has spoken of his delight after seeing “incredible vocal support” from those donning red, amber and black.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the fans for their incredible backing yesterday, it was great to see,” he said.

“I asked for our supporters to deliver last Friday and they did so, acting as an 18th man for the boys as they provided an incredible fightback for everyone in attendance to enjoy.

“Yesterday was a great day for everyone involved in Bradford Bulls, something of a reward for both staff and players for all of their hard endeavour over the past few months.

“And now we can look forward, with Super League action resuming this coming weekend and the Challenge Cup quarter-final draw on the horizon this evening.

“I thought the boys were superb yesterday and it was pleasing to see Jay Pitts slotting straight into the team.

“I am sure Joe Arundel, who was unable to play in the game, is itching to get going against Warrington on Sunday and I am looking forward to seeing how he gets on, here at The Provident Stadium.

"It would be great to see a strong crowd getting behind Francis and his players, again, this coming weekend."

Meanwhile, Ferres has explained how comments made on social media by the club's football manager are being dealt with internally.

“On behalf of the the Bulls, I would like to formally apologise for the comments made and any offence caused by them,” added Ferres.

“We are looking into the matter and appropriate action will be taken, internally.”

Tickets for Sunday's First Utility Super League Round-Eleven clash are now available, priced at £20 (adults), £15 (concessions) and £10 (juniors).
