HEAD COACH Francis Cummins has this morning been greeted with a double boost from the Bulls’ medical room, with news that both skipper Matt Diskin and front-rower Adam Sidlow are likely to be back in action inside four weeks.

The pair suffered injuries during Sunday’s defeat against Hull Kingston Rovers and were helped from the field, in quick succession, during the opening half hour.

Prop Sidlow was feared to have sustained a broken leg, while Diskin (pictured) looked set for a lengthy stint on the sidelines.

However, following further scans, it has been revealed that the former Salford forward could be back in action in as little as three weeks.

Sidlow has been ruled out temporarily with ruptured ankle ligaments, while Diskin will miss around a month with a torn calf muscle.

Boss Cummins said: “This is great news for us, given the initial prognosis.

“Both injuries are as good as they could possibly be, I guess, meaning we should have Matt and Adam back fit fairly soon.

“These sorts of injuries are often hard to judge, but I am confident of speedy returns for them as they are in great shape otherwise.

“They are in the brilliant hands of our medical team and I wish them well in their respective recoveries.”

The Bulls return to First Utility Super League action this weekend, taking on Widnes Vikings from 3.00pm on Sunday.
