A ROSS OAKES double provided consolation for head coach Richard Tunningley, as Bradford Bulls Under-19s fell to a 40-16 defeat at the hands of Hull Kingston Rovers this afternoon.
Oakes crossed either side of the interval, where Bradford trailed the hosting Rovers 14-10.
Todd Binns bagged the away side’s third score during the curtain-raising clash, which precedes this afternoon’s First Utility Super League contest between the two clubs.
But it was the Rovers who came out on top, much thanks to a Matty Marsh hat-trick which was followed up by a Macca Hallett double and tries courtesy of Josh Guzdek and Aiden Armstrong.
Connor Robinson landed a late goal, having hammered over five conversions for the home side.
Bull Adam Brook kicked two from three attempts.
