BRADFORD BULLS can tonight confirm that loan signing Greg Burke is facing a spell on the sidelines, nursing a shoulder injury sustained while making his debut for the club last week.

The Wigan Warriors forward underwent x-rays immediately after the Bulls’ loss at Hull FC on Friday night.

And further scans have revealed a shoulder injury, which is likely to keep the 21-year-old front-rower out of action for six to eight weeks.

Bradford boss Francis Cummins has spoken of his disappointment at the news, insisting he hopes Burke will return to The Provident Stadium once fully recovered.

He said: “The injury is really tough on Greg, as there is no doubt in my mind that he would have made a huge impact for us.

“He is a quality individual and I would like to commend him on the positive attitude he has shown towards this setback.

“Hopefully he can get himself back fit quickly and then we can perhaps look at having him back here for a second stint.

“I would like to thank Shaun Wane and Kris Radlinski for all of the support they have shown throughout this unsettled period for our club.”

The Bulls return to action this weekend, as Paul Anderson's Huddersfield Giants visit The Provident Stadium.

Tickets for the First Utility Super League clash are on sale now and are available from the Provident Stadium Ticket Office, and over the phone: 08448 711 490.
