BRADFORD BULLS can today confirm the departure of front-rower Nick Scruton, who has joined Wakefield Trinity Wildcats for an undisclosed fee agreed by the club’s administrators.
The 29-year-old prop has opted for a move away from The Provident Stadium, ending a six-year tenure with the Bulls.
Chief executive Robbie Hunter-Paul said: “It is obviously hugely disappointing to lose a player to a rival club and this is definitely not a wish of Bradford Bulls. This is the nature of the situation we find ourselves in.
“I have spoken, at great lengths, to head coach Francis Cummins and football manager Stuart Duffy who inform me that there is a positive feel in camp – despite the current predicament.
“And both of them are not willing to allow the departure of a player to affect the mood, ahead of this weekend’s game.
“Administration is difficult at the best of times, but we are getting on with the task at hand. For sure, we are vulnerable at the moment, but we are working hard to ensure the squad remains intact.”
Bradford Bulls will be making no further comment at this time.
