MIXED FORTUNES FOR JUNIOR SIDES

It was a case of mixed fortunes for the Bulls Junior sides this weekend, with both a victory and a defeat against Harlequins.

The Under 20's travelled down to the Twickenham Stoop on Friday and came away with the points, courtesy of tries to Rob Hawthorne, Lewis Reed,  Aaron Blake, Cain Southernwood and Adam O'Brien.  Southernwood also kicked four goals in a 28-10 victory.

Meanwhile the Bulls Academy went down 42-40 to Harlequins at the Grattan Stadium despite scoring eight tries to their opponents seven.  The most pleasing aspect from the Bulls point of view were the debuts of Centre Sam Wood and Loose Forward John Bateman, who were signed earlier this month.  Both had fine games and were rewarded with a brace of tries apiece. Other scorers for the Bulls were Wingers Ethan Hawksworth and James Morgan, Hooker Ryan Wright and Back Row Forward Matt Bailey.  Stand Off Danny Softly kicked four goals but the match winner for Quins was their Scrum Half, Mikey Bishay, who scored a try and kicked all seven conversion from all over the field.
