RESERVES BOW OUT AT GRATTAN STADIUM
The Bulls Reserves season ended at the Grattan Stadium when they were defeated 46-26 by Leeds Rhinos in the Elimination Semi Final.
Leeds had too much pace and power in their side, which included Jay Pitts and Ben Jones-Bishop, who both featured at Salforfd for the First Team the previous evening.
The Bulls started the stronger and had tries to Eddie Kilroy and Jessjo Sheriffe and, with Kieran Hyde kicking a goal, they led 10-0. But Leeds, who had seen little of the football, hit back when given their share of possession and hit the Bulls with four tries and three goals in the second quarter to lead 22-10 at the braek.
The Rhinos started the second period as they had left off before the interval with four further converted tries- including a 'special' from Ben Jones-Bishop, who caught the ball from the kick off and eluded the bulls defence on a seventy metre run to the line - to lead 46-10.
The Bulls though never gave up and had the last three tries from Johnny Horton, Jessjo Sheriffe with his second and a great try by Elliott Whitehad who timed his run to perfection after Kieran Hyde had kicked into the ingoal area.
