ACADEMY GO DOWN AT WARRINGTON

The Bulls gave debuts to Adam O'Brien and Robert Hawthorne and both were impressive, O'Brien, who alternated between Hooker and Loose Forward, playing for seventy minutes, whilst Hawthorne came on as a second half substitute and grabbed a debut try.

Prop Tom Lillycrop, who was in outstanding form, opened the scoring for the Bulls after they had trailed 6-0 but Warrington scored shortly after to make the score 10-6 at the break.  The Woves extended their lead early in the second half but Hawthorne's try got the scoreline back to 14-10 only for the Wolves to score two tries in quick succession.

Hooker Jake Senior scored a late try for the Bulls after Man of the Match Tom Lillycrop had made a sixty metre break to make the final scoreline 26-16 in the Wolves favour.

The Bulls were superbly served by Lillycrop and George and Tom Burgess and Half Backs Joe Wardle, who kicked two goals and Liam Kay controlled things well behind the pack.
