RESERVES KICK OFF IN STYLE
A hat trick of Tries from centre Duane Straugheir was the highlight of the Bulls comprehensive 48-22 victory over Huddersfield Giants at the Grattan Stadium.
The Bulls led 20-10 at the break against a Giants side that included former Bulls, Carlile, Khan, Patrick and Walker. The Giants had opened the scoring in the first minute but the Bulls hit back straightaway with a smartly taken Tom Olbison try. Further tries to Colton Wray, Jonny Horton, who was impressive throughout, and Straugheir's first saw the Bulls leading at the break.
The second half was all one way for the first half hour with Straugheir completing his hat trick and further tries to Liam Kay, Chris Clarke and Vinny Finigan, with Kieran Hyde kicking five goals and Danny Addy one. The Giants had a late consolation try to Larne Patrick, who scored under the posts following four back to back penalties.
