 John  Bateman continued his comeback from shoulder surgery in fine style with a first half hat trick as the Bulls Academy ran out 46-16 winners against Widnes at the Stobart Stadium.

The Bulls were firmly in control and raced into a 24-0 lead before the Vikings hit back with ten unanswered points.

After the break it was all the Bulls again as the continued in free scoring vein throughout the second period.
