Full Time Report

A YOUTHFUL Bradford Bulls fell to a hefty 84-6 defeat at the hands of Wigan Warriors this afternoon.

Francis Cummins' men found themselves eight unanswered tries adrift as the hooter sounded for half-time, with the hosting Warriors in all but total control.

The travelling Bulls – hampered by a lengthy injury list – made a bright start to proceedings.

However, after hitting the front on five minutes, the reigning Super League champions never looked back.

Blake Green, Anthony Gelling, Sean O'Loughlin, Ryan Hampshire, Liam Farrell, Jack Hughes and Sam Powell all crossed before the break, with double try-scorer Hampshire landing seven goals – from eight attempts.

Wigan picked up from where they had left off after the interval, adding to their tally through former Bull John Bateman, Darrell Goulding, George Williams, Dom Manfredi and Gil Dudson.

Williams kicked four second-half conversions, with Hampshire adding an eighth to his tally.

There was some consolation for Bradford, however, as vice-captain Luke Gale skipped around the Warriors' defence – 12 minutes from time – to score just to the left of the uprights.
