HEAD COACH Francis Cummins insists his side are up for the challenge against West Yorkshire rivals Leeds Rhinos.

Bradford Bulls welcome Leeds Rhinos to The Provident Stadium tonight and Cummins is hoping a big atmosphere will provide his players with a boost.

“They are always special games and our players have always been up for the challenge of those games anyway," he said.

“Bradford-Leeds provide great atmospheres and have given me, personally, some fantastic memories.

“Leeds are flying at the moment, I thought they were very good against Wakefield the other week. Their backline is on fire and they have a strong pack of forwards."

The Bulls lost out to Salford Red Devils last time out and Cummins pulled no punches when assessing Bradford's performance.

However, boss Cummins is confident his men will show signs of improvement.

“I think we have been improving and have probably let games slip way, due to five or six silly errors," added Cummins.

“The frustration is that we are score 24 points against a team like Salford, which should be enough for us to win, and lose out.

“Whether that is down to fatigue or that we have only got a couple of players back at a time, I don’t know.

"But we know if we make those mistakes against Leeds, they will punish us."

SQUAD NEWS

FRANCIS CUMMINS has included rising talents Danny Bridge and Tom Olbison in his 19-man squad for Thursday night's West Yorkshire derby against arch-rivals Leeds Rhinos.

The pair missed last week's game against Salford Red Devils but are in-line to make their returns, having been named in the Bradford Bulls head coach's pre-match line-up.

Cummins has recently reported a near-clean bill of health and as a result has been able to include second-row Bridge, who today extended his loan deal with the Provident Stadium club.

Fellow back-rower Olbison, meanwhile, is back in contention following a two-week absence.

Bradford Bulls' 19-man squad to face Leeds Rhions on Thursday April 17 (KO 8.00pm): Danny Addy, Matty Blythe, Danny Bridge, Matt Diskin, James Donaldson, Jamal Fakir, Dale Ferguson, Jamie Foster, Luke Gale, Lee Gaskell, Adam Henry, Elliot Kear, Brett Kearney, Manase Manuokafoa, Adam O'Brien, Tom Olbison, Adrian Purtell, Adam Sidlow, Chev Walker.
