FRANCIS CUMMINS has called on his Bradford Bulls to heap the pressure on Sunday's opponents Salford Red Devils (kick-off 3.00pm).

The Bulls travel to the AJ Bell Stadium knowing a victory will close the gap between the two sides to five points on the First:Utility Super League ladder.

Both Bradford and Salford enter desperate for the two points and head coach Cummins believes his men have what it takes.

"We have experience of coming up with performances, such as the victory over Wakefield two weeks ago," he said.

"Salford have quality across the park but we are hopeful of seeing a reaction, in terms of our performance, putting in to practice what we have practiced

"We are at our best when we work hard for each other and our game is best when we get better field position and get more ball."

Salford go into the game having failed to record a win in seven top-flight fixtures.

However, Bulls boss Cummins knows all too well the threat posed by his opposite number and former Leeds team-mate Iestyn Harris' side.

"He has had a difficult time so far but I thought they played really well against us in April," added Cummins.

"It was their best performance of the year in my opinion but they find themselves in a tough position now.

"Like us, they are under pressure but we have to concentrate on ourselves. It is up to us to put them under even more pressure."
