The Reds took an early 10-0 lead as the Bulls started slowly, but they eventually responded with seven tries including a spectacular second half effort by man of the match Leon Pryce, and Paul Deacon slotted eight goals from eight attempts in an immaculate display with the boot.
Coach Brian Noble said "The boys were great tonight. We had to be patient after going behind so early, but we kept chipping away and I thought we showed that we are now ready to kick on in the competition."
