KEAR WARY OF EAGLES THREAT BUT TARGETS FURTHER IMPROVEMENT

HEAD coach John Kear insists the best is yet to come from his Bradford Bulls squad - as they put their 100% start to the season on the line against fellow unbeaten side Sheffield Eagles tonight.

Kear’s men make the trip down the M1 this evening looking to maintain their 100% record, having seen off Featherstone Rovers and Swinton Lions so far in 2019.

Forwards Olsi Krasniqi and Jon Magrin could make their debut in the clash at Olympic Legacy Park which is being streamed LIVE on OURLEAGUE – with the latter a former Eagle having plied his trade in South Yorkshire last season.

Sheffield Eagles alike boast a perfect start to the campaign and the Bradford boss is well aware his side face another serious test to their Betfred Championship credentials.

“We will be challenged greatly, they put Swinton to the sword on their own pitch with a quick and skilful performance and then adapted to heavy conditions to beat Barrow last week,” said Kear, who is sponsored by Lowie Recruitment Ltd.

“They have character and quality and it will be a really tough test for us, I think they have shown enough already to know they will be a top end team come the end of the season.

“The supporters will get their first look at Olsi [Krasniqi] and Jon [Magrin] too, hopefully they can cause me some real selection dilemmas in the weeks to come with a positive performance tonight.

“We have seen off two very difficult Championship teams so far in Featherstone and Swinton and we have two more coming up in Sheffield and York but I am pleased with how things have gone for us so far.

“Our pre-season prepared us for these types of challenges and I feel we know what to expect now in the Championship and I feel we have a squad to not only consolidate but compete as well.

“There is a lot more improvement to come but we are two wins from two and it is a very exciting time for the club – I am enjoying it, the players are and I hope the fans are too!”
