BRADFORD Bulls are delighted to announce the capture of prop Olsi Krasniqi on a one-month loan deal from Betfred Championship outfit Toronto Wolfpack.

The 26-year-old is in contention to make his Bradford bow in Friday’s trip to Sheffield Eagles and arrives at Odsal Stadium to bolster the front-row options alongside Steve Crossley, Liam Kirk and James Green.

Albanian-born Krasniqi boasts Super League experience thanks to spells with London Broncos and Salford Red Devils, prior to his move to the Wolfpack in 2018.

Head coach John Kear believes that experience, coupled with his athleticism will prove to be of huge benefit to his side as they look to continue their 100% start to the season.

“We obviously lost Ross (Peltier), Callum Bustin and Oliver Wilson in pre-season so when the opportunity came to move for Olsi we did so straight away,” said Kear, who is sponsored by Lowie Recruitment Ltd.

“He is very athletic and very quick and with over 100 games in Super League under his belt, I think he will be a really good addition to the squad.

“Obviously he has experience at the higher level but he played in the Championship last season with Toronto and he knows how tough it is and what is required to win games in this division.

“He knows what it is like to play for a big team and be hunted when opposing teams play us it is a big occasion for them but he will be used to that.

“Ultimately it is to reinforce our squad and make sure we have the correct amount of players to cope with the demands of Championship rugby.

“I believe he will prove to be an invaluable addition to the squad and I am sure the fans will enjoy watching him play in the red, amber and black of Bradford.”
