HITCHCOX HAPPY TO BE A PART OF KEAR 'PROJECT'

Jy Hitchox believes the only way is up for his Bradford Bulls team-mates – with the winger returning to first-team action in style with a hat-trick of tries in Sunday’s defeat of West Wales Raiders.

The 29-year-old started in the centres for his first appearance back in the red, amber and black following an eight-week long-lay off.

Three stunning tries from the Australian born star helped John Kear’s side record the club’s biggest ever away win with the 104-0 demolition of the Llanelli outfit.

Former Castleford Tiger Hitchcox is full of praise for the “young and growing” side Kear has at his disposal, adamant that exciting times are just around the corner.

“It is always good to get some tries but it was good to just get back out there and blow off some cobwebs,” said Hitchox, who is sponsored by

“Eight weeks out is a long time but hopefully now I have made my return I can be injury free looking towards an exciting end to the season.

“It is a young but growing side that has a lot of potential, you saw what the likes of Matty Storton are capable of on Sunday.

“The team and project that is being built by John Kear is exciting and the only way is up!

“I still feel like a young gazelle but I am happy to pass on any experience I have to the younger boys but I am confident the good times are just around the corner for us as a club.”
