Macani, sponsored by DPs Smoothie & Coffee at PS4 Fitness, put in a man of the match performance in Sunday’s 16-12 victory over the Rams as the Bulls made it four wins from five games.
“It was a really great feeling getting out there for my 100th game. For some reason, I had a few butterflies before the game until I walked out onto the pitch with the boys,” said Macani.
“It does mark a really special occasion for me, I love playing this game and I consider myself privileged to be a part of it.”
Macani reached the triple figure in the West Yorkshire derby at the Tetley’s Stadium, a nightmare pitch for any winger as they battled on the infamous narrow boundaries of the field.
“The only thing that the game was missing for me personally was a try. It was always going to be hard-going at Dewsbury and playing on that small pitch. You have to drop back and prepare for the kick so often you almost end up playing as a second full back.
“I’ve played there a few times in my career, it never favours wingers. It is really hard to work any magic down the channels and get some momentum.
“You have to support your boys in the middle as best as you can because they take most of the brunt, and that’s the way that the Rams love to play.”
This Sunday Bradford host Rochdale Hornets in the final game of the 2017 season, and Macani hopes to surpass his milestone and continue to build from it.
“Passing the 100 mark on Sunday would mean a lot to me. Like I said I am really privileged to be playing this game and I hope for plenty more.”
